50% of homes now reserved in Phase One at Trent Basin
Over 300 people walked through the door of the Trent Basin show home in Nottingham at the weekend when it opened to the public for viewings over two days.
Strong interest in owning a Trent Basin home saw seven reservations made over the weekend, bringing the number of properties reserved to 21 which means that 50% of the 2-5 bedroom apartments and homes have now been sold in phase one.
The show home has been furnished by interior designer Laura Davies from Territory Design. She has drawn inspiration from the urban design, the architecture and location of the development to give a contemporary and fresh look to the show home.
The team was on hand to answer in-depth questions about the vision for the development, the architecture and features of the homes which promote low energy and sustainability, as well as practical information about the design and layout of the homes.
Potential home owners were also able to get a view of the new streetscape which leads to the waterfront, to get a look at the tall, contemporary homes inspired by European canal houses.
Peter Conboy, project director at Blueprint and development director at igloo, said: “There was a high level of interest in the show home opening and this is reflected in the number of reservations made over the weekend. There has been very positive feedback on home design and the new street with river views, and the close proximity to the city centre and West Bridgford. The Trent Basin neighbourhood will particularly appeal to those who are keen to live in low energy homes with energy efficiency living.”
Less than 1.5 miles from the city centre and with green spaces and open views, Trent Basin will also appeal to those who want to walk or cycle, and those interested in waterside living. Peter Conboy added: “People are recognising that Trent Basin is a unique development in a unique location, and in the words of one person who came to the event, ‘regeneration of this area is long overdue and much needed’.”
Peter Connolly, chief executive at igloo, said “Trent Basin is proving to be another example of igloo’s successful regeneration of urban spaces. We are very proud of our residential developments, many of which are award winning. We always pay close attention to the design and layout of the homes, as well as the sustainability aspects. We look forward to the continued success of Trent Basin and are confident that the remaining 21 homes and apartments will be snapped up in no time by discerning homebuyers looking for a unique living space near the city.”
