igloo shortlisted for national Community Engagement award

igloo’s Kym Shaen-Carter has been shortlisted for a British Property Federation’s (BPF) Tomorrow’s Leaders Award. The Community Engagement Award recognises individuals in the UK’s real estate industry who have been instrumental in delivering projects that engage closely with their local communities.

Kym joined igloo in 2013 and heads up igloo Community Builders, a unit within igloo that provides community groups with development management advice to facilitate locally-led regeneration. She is up against James Rogers, Community Executive at Hammerson, and Lois Kay, Development Surveyor at Peel Environmental. The winner will be announced at the BPF President’s Lunch on 23 May.

The Tomorrow’s Leaders Awards are in their second year and are aimed at finding and celebrating the rising stars of UK real estate. This year’s other award categories are the Collaboration Award, the Inclusivity Award, the Innovation Award and the Rising Star Award, all of which will be decided by a panel of expert judges from within the industry.

A BPF spokesperson said: “The competition was really very strong and only exceptional entries have made the shortlist, so very well done Kym”.
