John is igloo’s executive director and has been with the business for over 17 years, starting his career as a development manager in 2006. He previously worked as a chartered surveyor at DTZ and Innes England.

In his role, John provides oversight on a number of igloo’s projects, including the central Winchester regeneration project with Winchester City Council and Kajima Genr8, plus the Oakfield project in Swindon with Nationwide Building Society. John was also the project director responsible for Four Hundred Caledonian Road, the multi award-winning scheme with Aviva Investors.

John has a passion for impact-driven property investment and development placemaking, environmental sustainability and social value creation for people and communities across the UK.

Outside of igloo, John acts as a non-executive director at Dance4, where he provides property and sustainability advice, as well as operational oversight and strategic business guidance. He is also a non-executive director at the UK Green Film Festival, a UK-based festival which screens some of the world’s best films addressing the big environmental issues of today.
