Peter Connolly

With a passion for delivering transformative change, Peter now serves as Chair of igloo, focusing on and overseeing investment strategy and the continued growth of the business. He provides strategic oversight of igloo’s portfolio, which includes the successful funding and delivery of more than 30 national regeneration projects.

Peter joined igloo as a Development Director in 2006 and went on to become Chief Executive, leading igloo’s £1bn programme of sustainable urban development and investment. During his tenure as CEO, he played a central role in shaping the business, driving its growth strategy and establishing its strong track record in impact-led development.

Peter has led the creation of multiple successful national partnerships across both public and private sectors, managing client relationships at all levels. Peter also oversaw the core project review process, ensuring consistent performance and positive outcomes across the portfolio.

Well-known in the industry and widely regarded as a trusted figurehead in development management, Peter remains a key champion of igloo’s values and purpose. As one of the original creators of igloo’s Footprint® methodology, he has consistently championed sustainability through impact-led investment for a diverse range of investors, from institutions and local authorities to communities and commercial partners.
