Neepsend
Sheffield Neepsend is igloo’s first project in the city. Working with Homes England and Sheffield City Council, we’re bringing new life to one of Sheffield’s much‑loved historic industrial neighbourhoods.
Together, we’ll be creating 430 new homes – including affordable options and homes designed for later‑living – all shaped by our Footprint® approach that puts People and sustainability at the heart of every Place we build. These homes are part of a bigger plan to turn brownfield sites into dynamic, welcoming urban communities where people can truly thrive.
The Neepsend project will bring together high‑quality homes, new public spaces, and a celebration of the area’s unique heritage, all while helping to create long‑lasting social value for the whole community.
The project has been backed by nearly £70m of government funding, announced in February 2024, to support land assembly and infrastructure provision.
