Orchard Yard

Newcastle

Orchard Yard is a new residential neighbourhood within the wider Founders Place regeneration, located beside Newcastle Central Station in the historic Stephenson Quarter. Set on land once occupied by the works of George and Robert Stephenson, the scheme responds to the area’s industrial legacy while creating homes for contemporary city living.

The development will deliver around 79 new homes, including 1 and 2 bed apartments and duplexes, arranged around active streets and shared green spaces that reflect the historic pattern of yards and workshops. A heritage-led, low‑energy approach underpins the scheme, combining retained  historic fabric with generous planting and high-quality public realm to create a distinctive, people-focused city centre neighbourhood.
