What we're doing
We’re collecting brand new toys, toiletries and monetary donations, which will be used to provide gifts for young patients currently receiving treatment at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.
Our aim is to ensure as many children and young people as possible receive a thoughtful gift.
What you can donate
We welcome brand new, unopened and unused items, including:
Toys and activities
- Soft toys and comfort items
- Arts and crafts sets
- Games and puzzles
- Books, colouring books and activity packs
- Small play sets and figures
- Toys suitable for babies, children and young people of all ages
Toiletries for teenagers
- Toiletry gift sets
- Skincare and self-care items
- Shower gels, body sprays and deodorants
- Haircare products and accessories
We also welcome monetary donations, which will be used to purchase brand new gifts on your behalf.
Please avoid
For safety and infection-control reasons, we’re unable to accept:
- Used, second-hand or opened items
- Food, sweets or edible gifts
- Sharp objects or items with small loose parts
- Toys with cords, strings or long attachments
- Heavily scented or aerosol products
Why Alder Hey?
Alder Hey is one of the UK’s leading children’s hospitals, caring for babies, children and young people with serious and life-limiting conditions. Many patients spend extended periods in hospital, often away from home.
Small gestures can make a meaningful difference — offering comfort, distraction and reassurance during challenging times.
How to take part
1. Donate physical items
Brand new, unopened items can be dropped off at the reception of:

2. Donate via PayPal
Follow this link to make a monetary donation. All funds raised will be used to purchase brand new items for patients at Alder Hey.
The deadline for all donations is 6th March 2026.
