Development Manager (RegenerationProjects)

With new regeneration projects accelerating across the South ofthe UK, we are looking for a talented Development Manager to join our team. 

About the Role 

You’ll help deliver complex, design led regeneration projects from feasibility through to delivery and exit. Working closely with our Development Directors, you’ll lead technical, commercial and strategic aspects of schemes across the UK, ensuring they meet igloo’s values and Footprint® sustainability principles. 

You will: 

• Identify, appraise and develop new opportunities, preparing robust development and investment appraisals
• Manage due diligence, legal negotiations, planning activity and consultant appointments 
• Support land assembly, procurement, design development and community engagement 
• Guide projects through construction, lettings/disposals, marketing, funding compliance and exit 
• Provide high quality reporting for Board and client approvals 
• Champion sustainability, quality, and igloo’s Footprint® policy throughout every project 

Geography

This role will primarily support projects across the South ofthe UK but may contribute to wider UK schemes when required. 

What we’re looking for 

Essential experience includes: 

• 2+ years’ experience working with a developer (residential, mixed use or regeneration) 
• Strong track record preparing development & viability appraisals 
• Experience negotiating acquisitions, development agreements, lettings and/or disposals 
• Confident management of procurement, consultants, site constraints and design processes 
• Understanding of design as a driver of value in regeneration 
• Strong interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills 
• Experience delivering regeneration or mixed use schemes 
• Understanding of sustainable development principles 
• Proficiency in MS Office (strong Excel skills desirable) 
• Argus experience desirable
